Our Story
Built on the Road, Not in a Boardroom
Mlalazi Courtesy Transfers began on the streets of Johannesburg in May 2006, when founder True Mlalazi started operating as an independent hotel taxi driver servicing international visitors and business travellers. In an industry where reliability was often inconsistent, his approach was straightforward: arrive early, maintain an immaculate vehicle, understand the route before turning the key, and treat every passenger’s schedule as non-negotiable.
Following the liquidation of the local metered taxi association in 2007, existing hospitality and corporate clients continued calling directly — referring colleagues, visiting executives, and production coordinators by word of mouth. As demand expanded from individual executive airport transfers into multi-vehicle agency briefs, the business was formally registered as Mlalazi Courtesy Transfers in 2013.
Today, we operate a versatile 7-tier executive and production fleet — spanning the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and V-Class through to the heavy-duty VW Crafter 35 and Toyota Quantum — serving as the behind-the-scenes ground logistics partner for South Africa’s leading corporate enterprises, PR agencies, and live broadcast productions.
